FLASH ANIMATION

Flash Animation skills are essential for creating effective animations for websites - either to add a subtle feature, as an interesting and useful introductory page, or for a complete site if appropriate. Much requested by companies in the multimedia field, eg. Film and television, music promotion and production, event management and promotion.

As with our Web Page Design courses, we have increased the scope of topics covered for each of the courses below, (beyond eDCC* requirements). Courses are taught using Macromedia's Flash MX 2004 - the leading software package for web-based animation scenes and movies. This course is an ideal complement to the Web Page Design course and the two are usually used together to enhance the look and functionality of websites.
CMD work closely with WebRemixers, a web design and development team, whose professional work is well respected and in whose work both packages can be seen working well together.

All courses have Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels and are individually certified (eDCC*), allowing students to gain a certificate no matter what level they finish at. Courses can of course be tailored around specific areas.

Introduction to Flash

  • Create and Save New Flash File
  • Insert and Edit Text

  • Set Document Properties
  • Copy and Delete Stroke
  • Create and Name New Layer
  • Select Objects using Lasso Tool
  • Group Objects
  • Lock and Hide Layer
  • Draw Shape using the Pencil Tool
  • Change Size and Rotation during Motion Tween
  • Publish Preview
  • Export Movie

This will include the certification requirements for the eDCC*
Web Design Intermediate qualification.

  • Delete Image Areas Using Selection Tools
  • Resize Image using Transform Tool
  • Use Image as Movie Background

  • Edit Library Symbol
  • Return to Scene
  • Set Publish Settings and Publish
